Methodology & European VAT Accounting
- Why US ROAS Calculators Fail in Europe: In the EU, UK, and Switzerland, consumer prices include VAT (19%–25% or 8.1%). Ad Managers (Meta, Google, TikTok) report ROAS based on gross order value, while your actual margin comes from net revenue.
- True Contribution Margin: We strip out VAT first, then deduct landed COGS, outbound shipping/fulfillment, payment processing fees (Stripe, PayPal, Klarna), and return handling costs.
